Even very small cavities are detected at their earliest stages, enabling us to remove decay before it progresses and causes symptoms. The DIAGNOdent is a laser which uses a bright light to identify cavities. Since decayed teeth reflect light differently than healthy teeth, the DIAGNOdent uses this difference to pinpoint decay hiding deep in the grooves of teeth.
